Besides telling you details about its history and traditions, Martina will introduce you to the everyday life of this vibrant university city. You will pass by and stop at both famous and almost unknown places: -Murales ‘Tuttomondo’ by Keith Haring -Corso Italia (shopping Street) -Ponte di Mezzo (Old Bridge) -Garibaldi Square (gathering place) -Borgo Stretto with its Renaissance loggias, nice shops and cafes -Piazza delle Vettovaglie (Market Square) -Piazza dei Cavalieri (Square of the Knights) -Piazza del Duomo (also known as ‘Field of Miracles’) where the Leaning Tower stands out! -Lungarni (the two banks of the Arno river) with interesting medieval and renaissance buildings While cycling you will also pass by historical shops and gathering places where you might consider to enjoy a  taste of local cousine: like the delicious ‘cecina’, the saulty focaccia bread and the best pizza from an historical pizzeria -all pared with either artisanal beer or local wines; then you could try the typical cake from Pisa, the ‘torta co’ bischeri’, or some artisanal gelato! On your request, Martina would also be happy to introduce you to local master artisans and artists who keep on very ancient arts and crafts. Notes: 1. the cycling tour usually starts and ends up near Pisa Centrale train station, where Martina will pick you up. Then, you will walk together to the bike rental (it takes only a few minutes). If you also wanted to climb the Leaning Tower and visit the other buildings (Cathedral, Baptistery, Camposanto/Opera Museum) in the ‘Field of Miracles’, Martina will be happy to customized a full day bike tour of Pisa for you.
